About Jonas Over

Jonas Over is an international Buddhist meditation teacher. Authorized by his teachers Lama Glenn Mullin and Lama Jhampa Shaneman to transmit and teach Vajrayana Buddhism, he has received continuous empowerments and transmissions since 2002 and undergone extensive study and practice.

His path began at the age of ten after reading the life story of Milarepa, Tibet’s great yogi, which inspired a lifelong dedication to the path of enlightenment, particularly the practices of Tummo and the Six Yogas of Naropa. Since then, he has practiced within several Vajrayana lineages while also exploring complementary traditions, including shamanism and various breath- and bodywork systems.

Jonas has trained, practiced, and taught major Vajrayana Tantras, including Chakrasamvara, Guhyasamaja, Vajrayogini, Yamantaka, Hayagriva, and Kalachakra, and has completed their qualifying retreats. As part of his Buddhist training, he has also completed the full Ngondro foundation practices (111,000 prostrations, Vajrasattva mantras, mandala offerings, and Guru Yoga recitations). Alongside this, he has completed multiple teacher trainings in Breathwork, Yoga, and Qi Gong, and developed the Energy Flow Method, which integrates these disciplines to cultivate health and vitality. Through Vajra Mandala, he offers teachings, retreats, and Vajrayana practice while also hosting teachings and events with respected teachers from different Buddhist lineages.

About Lama Glenn Mullin

Glenn Mullin is the author of over thirty books on Tibetan Buddhism, many of which have been translated into a dozen foreign languages. His earlier titles focus on the lives and works of the early Dalai Lamas. Other titles of his elucidate practice traditions such as Lam Rim, Lojong, the Six Yogas of Naropa, Kalachakra, and so forth. He has been an international teacher of Tantric Buddhist meditation for the past thirty years. Glenn lived in Dharamsala, India, for fifteen years. There he studied under twenty-five of the greatest masters of Tibet, including the Dalai Lama and his two main gurus, Ling Rimpoche and Trijang Rimpoche.

About Lama Jhampa Shaneman

Jhampa Shaneman was one of the first Westerners ordained as a monk in the Tibetan Vajrayana tradition, taking robes under Ven. Lama Yeshe in 1971 as his first male ordained sangha member. He spent the following decade in Dharamsala, India, learning Tibetan and studying under masters including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kyabje Ling Rinpoche, Ven. Geshe Rabten, and Geshe Dhargaye, alongside teachers from all four sects of Tibetan Buddhism as well as Vipassana and Zen traditions. By 1980 he had completed six years of sutra and tantra study and some four years of retreat, after which he entered the traditional great retreat, spending three and a half years on the mountain above Dharamsala under Ling Rinpoche's guidance. He then returned to Canada and founded Thubten Choling Dharma Center.
He is one of the first western practitioners to be given permission by His Holiness to teach all levels of Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism.
